News Reports: Denver Big Air Event Cancelled

According to news reports, the Denver Big Air competition that took place around the SnowSports Industries America Snow Show in January won’t be returning.

“It’s a challenging economic model when using a venue like Civic Center park where you have both free and pay areas,” Sue Baldwin, the event’s main organizer, told the Denver Post.

The event cost $1.2 million to host, and, despite charging admission, Big Air lost money, according to the Post.

    fail. no shit it lost money. Your lead sponsor was Nature Valley and the music was Switchfoot…..get some Red Bull, Ford, Marlboro Cigs, Coors and other big spenders in there. Whoever your consultant was failed bigtime.
