After flat 2008–09 and 2009–10 season, goggle sales picked up in 2010–11. Last season, unit sales topped 2 million for the first time in more than four season, and dollar sales hit $115.5 million, up $10 million from the previous year. Goggle sales (both units and dollars) account for about a third of all snowsports accessory sales.
Can they continue? Advances in lens technology, better integration with helmets and anti-fog features are a few things you can expect to see for the 2011–12 season. New companies are also joining the playing field.
