If you’re a motivated and self-directed college or grad-school student, we want you to join our editorial team in Boulder, Colo. Our 10- to 12-week internships offer upcoming reporters and editors a glimpse into the inner workings of a business-to-business online publication that’s a ski industry leader. You give us hard work, and we’ll make you an integral part of a close-knit family that consists of, among other titles, Ski and Skiing magazines.
You’ll work directly with the Skiing Business editor and walk away with clips from all categories Skiing Business covers. You’ll also conduct interviews with company founders and executives, talk with shop owners and other industry leaders, help plan events, and be involved in marketing plans.
And you may get to contribute to Ski and Skiing magazines as well.

Duties: Duties may include: fact-checking, researching, reporting, writing, proofreading and editing articles; calling in products and gear for testing; gathering and shooting photos; participating in editorial meetings; developing multimedia packages for the web, brainstorming story ideas, planning events and editing basic html.
Qualifications: You must be willing to adapt to the ever-changing world of a trusted online publication while being reliable and not afraid to bring ideas to the table. Previous journalism experience—either with a local publication or a student newspaper—is preferred, and an interest in business writing is a plus. Knowledge of and an interest in skiing is required because yes, you’ll likely be doing some of that too.
Deadline to apply: 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 23 (for fall internships)
Start date: TBD
All internships are unpaid. You must receive school credit.
Please email resume, cover letter and no more than three writing samples to Ryan Dionne, Skiing Business’ editor, at EditorSkiingBusiness@BonnierCorp.com.
